Justin Stowens

MD, FACEP, RDMS
Associate Program Director
Emergency Medicine Residency
Doctors for Emergency Services

Doctor Stowens relocated to Delaware with his family in 2010 to complete Emergency Medicine residency training at Christiana Hospital.  He subsequently completed Fellowship training in Emergency Ultrasound and continues to educating young physicians in the Emergency Medicine residency program at Christiana.  He previously completed his medical school training at East Carolina University after receiving a Bachelors of Science from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts from Occidental College.  As a physician, his advocacy efforts as well as educational focus and research interested are directed towards the hopeful early identification of patients that are at high risk to be effected by the growing gun violence in our Delaware communities.  He hopes to empower physicians to take an active role in educating their patients as to the available legislation to help keep guns only in the hands of those mentally facile to use them safely. As a father and husband, he does his best to support his wife’s advocacy efforts (Sarah Stowens) through her work with Moms Demand Action.
